large scale, quick and cost effective file migrations from older
to newer versions of application software programs and various
database management platforms. Files that take hours or even weeks
to convert manually are converted and repaired automatically using
our process and technology, providing major cost savings and productivity
gains.
While most Application software vendors are focused on providing
regular updates and versions, ConverterTechnology focuses on the
customers others leave behind. Those customers have mounting legacy
software costs and sooner or later have to update to later versions.
For example, Gartner Group has estimated that between 30 and 40%
of enterprises are still using Office97, planning to move to Office
XP or 2003, and there is no direct competition to ConverterTechnology
other than manual repair. The market for Microsoft Office software
upgrades alone is in excess of US$5b. Future opportunity for ConverterTechnology
is plentiful.
Today, ConverterTechnology helps enterprises modernize their Microsoft
Office platforms and upsize databases from Microsoft Access to
SQL Server. For tomorrow ConverterTechnology is developing products
to help these same enterprises move to the .NET Platform, prepare
for Longhorn, and plan and execute other conversion strategies
to modernize and upgrade their infrastructure as required by new
business initiatives.
